ROK shows interests in establishing stock market in Laos
(KPL) The Republic of Korea has shown its interests in establishing a stock market in Laos. The statement was made at a talk between the President of the Stock Market Company of the Republic of Korea, Mr Young Tak Lee, and the Standing Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Somsavat Lengsavad at the Prime Ministers Office on 29 June. Mr Young Tak Lee and his delegation were warmly welcomed by DPM Somsavat during its three-day visit to Laos, which will enhance the cooperation and relation between Laos and the Republic of Korea. DPM informed his guests of the national socio-economic development and the investment of Korean businesspeople in Laos. The President of Stock Market Company of the ROK also informed Mr Somsavat that his visit to the Lao PDR was to disseminate knowledge and experience in the establishment of the stock market of ROK for government officials and the private sector of the Lao PDR. what is stock market?
