HA NOI Construction began on a Vietnamese Government-funded secondary school at a ceremony held in Vientiane City yesterday.
The Vientiane Friendship Secondary School will be built using a non-refundable Government aid worth VND34 billion (US$2.1 million).
Vientiane lord major Silavong Khoutphaytheun said the ground breaking ceremony to build the school coincided with the birthday of late President Ho Chi Minh. This was significant and symbolised the special friendship between Viet Nam and Laos, he said.
He also stated that Vientiane authorities would work together to create favourable conditions for project success in terms of speed and quality. VNS
